About the Journal
Journal Overview
The European Journal of Science and Technology (EJOSAT) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published quarterly (March, June, September, and December). The journal adopts a multidisciplinary approach and publishes original research articles and comprehensive review papers across a wide spectrum of scientific and technological disciplines.
EJOSAT accepts contributions in the core domains of engineering sciences, natural sciences, and health and medical sciences, while also encouraging submissions in emerging and interdisciplinary areas such as artificial intelligence, data science, renewable energy systems, nanotechnology, biotechnology, smart systems, and digital transformation technologies.
Peer Review and Publication Ethics
Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system, where authors can monitor the progress of their submissions. EJOSAT is dedicated to full compliance with the standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the "Guidelines for Scientific Research and Publication Ethics in Higher Education Institutions." All articles undergo evaluation by at least two external reviewers through a double-blind peer review process. Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
Indexing and Visibility
EJOSAT is indexed in well-known databases such as Index Copernicus, Scilit, and Sobiad, and it is actively seeking inclusion in additional international platforms like DOAJ, Scopus, and ESCI to boost its global visibility and academic impact.
Language Policy
The primary language of publication is English. A limited number of high-quality manuscripts in Turkish may also be considered, provided they meet the journal’s academic standards.
Scope and Focus
EJOSAT emphasizes both applied and theoretical research within the following domains:
Engineering Sciences: Food Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering (artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, software systems, and data science), Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering (renewable energy, smart grids, and energy storage), Materials Science and Nanotechnology, Robotics and Automation, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity, and Smart Systems.
Natural Sciences: Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, Biological Sciences, and interdisciplinary fields such as Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Environmental Sciences, Climate Change, and Sustainability Science, with a strong emphasis on analytical, computational, and experimental advancements.
Health and Medical Sciences: Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Research, Dentistry, and Public Health Technologies, as well as emerging areas such as Medical Imaging, Health Informatics, Telemedicine, and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare.
Editorial Policy
EJOSAT adheres strictly to internationally recognized standards of publication ethics and peer-review integrity. The journal maintains a clearly defined disciplinary focus and accepts submissions exclusively from the fields of science, technology, and medicine.
Note: Submissions from the social sciences, arts, and humanities are not considered.
Mission
The mission of EJOSAT is to promote the global dissemination of scientific knowledge by providing a transparent and rigorous peer-review process. By expanding its indexing coverage and strengthening international visibility, the journal aims to enhance the impact and accessibility of high-quality research that contributes to scientific innovation and technological advancement.
Artificial Intelligence
EJOSAT evaluates the opportunities and potential risks that generative artificial intelligence tools present in scientific publishing. In this context, generative AI tools cannot be used as authors. If authors have used AI during the article preparation process, they must clearly and explicitly state the purpose for which it was used. On the other hand, authors are not required to declare the use of AI in the text editing process (grammar, structure, spelling, punctuation). However, authors are responsible for any ethical violations that may result from AI use, and EJOSAT assumes no responsibility. Reviewers and editors should not use AI tools for any reason; unpublished works or those not yet under peer review should not be uploaded to AI tools. If AI use is detected in a peer review report, the report will be deemed invalid. Academic editors must not upload any part of the articles under review, including images, figures, tables, or related information, to AI tools.
Price Policy
EJOSAT operates an open-access model and charges a fee of 2000 TL (VAT included) ($100 or €100 for international authors) for submission and processing, which covers DOI assignments, server costs, and technical layout expenses. This fee, aligned with academic standards, does not guarantee publication or influence the peer review process. Decisions are made solely on scientific merit, and no refunds are issued for rejected submissions. Our journal reserves the right to waive fees occasionally for authors who lack funding, including single-authored students and researchers from developing countries. For each additional page beyond the first 8 pages in the "Final Typeset PDF" prepared according to EJOSAT writing guidelines and sent to authors, an additional 200 TL plus 20% VAT ($5 or €5 for international authors per page) must be paid per page.
